Arcadis announced it has completed installing EV chargers at bp's newest high-speed EV charging site at bp's North American headquarters in Houston, Texas. This new station is now operational and is the first bp pulse-branded Gigahub in the US for its EV charging business.

"The opening of our first bp pulse Gigahub is a major step in bp pulse's plans to build out a national EV charging network. EV drivers need access to reliable, fast, on-the-go charging to enable an exceptional customer experience," said Sujay Sharma, CEO of bp pulse Americas. "Working with Arcadis is allowing us to deliver the charging experience EV drivers need in Houston and beyond."

Arcadis was responsible for delivering program and construction management during the installation of the 24 high-speed charge points. In total, 12 Tritium 150 kW fast chargers were placed on site, all of which are configured to allow any EV the capability to charge at the new facility.

The site was also designed to accommodate potential charger expansion projects and the addition of solar photovoltaic parking canopies, restrooms, a lounge, and a convenience store.

"We are proud to work with bp pulse on energy transition projects such as these that accelerate a planet-positive future. Arcadis, like bp, is committed to moving the energy transition forward, and delivering this project in the City of Houston, the energy capital of the world, is particularly impactful," said Brooke Bonkoski, President of Resilience Environment US at Arcadis.
