Hydrexia and Toyota Motor Philippines Collaborate on Mobile H2 Refueling Stations
Hydrogen infrastructure firm Hydrexia Sdn Bhd is working with automobile manufacturer Toyota Motor to supply H2 refueling stations in the Philippines.
As part of the agreement, Hydrexia provided Toyota Motors Philippines with its containerized mobile hydrogen refueling station (HRS) to fuel hydrogen internal combustion engine vehicles (HICEV) such as the Toyota Corolla Cross H2 Concept. The H2-fueled vehicle was showcased at the Toyota Beyond Zero media event as part of the Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS) in October.
Toyota’s Beyond Zero initiative showcases a multi-pathway approach towards carbon neutrality and stands as a commitment towards sustainable and inclusive mobility systems, as well as global carbon neutrality.
In early 2024, Hydrexia provided Toyota Malaysia with a mobile HRS solution to support the Move to Zero event in Malaysia. Hydrexia was selected as a service provider due to the safety and functionality of its solution and equipment, and its ability to deliver within a short timeframe.
Hydrogen does not contain carbon within its molecular chain and does not emit carbon dioxide when combusted. Hydrogen, however, is not naturally produced so must be generated by steam reforming of methane gas or by electrolyzers which separate the H2 from water.
