Energy supply solutions provider Catalyst Power Holdings has announced a partnership with the Gates Historical Society for the construction of a 1.4-MW community solar farm in Rochester, New York.

According to Catalyst, the community solar farm will provide clean energy to local residents and businesses at an affordable rate while also promoting local jobs and economic development.

The facility will occupy approximately 13 acres on Howard Road in Rochester, the company adds.

Based in Rochester, the Gates Historical Society is a not-for-profit organization with the intention to collect and preserve the history of the town of Gates, and to showcase the Hinchey Homestead as a model historic site. William Hinchey was a town pioneer who settled in the region around the early 19th century.
