Ameresco has been selected to lead the Comprehensive Energy Audit for the Public Schools of Tarrytowns’ energy efficiency project by Energia – an engineering firm acting as the Owner’s Representative during project development and implementation.

Key goals of the program include:

  • Lighting improvements.
  • Energy management systems upgrades.
  • District-wide solar PV initiatives with a capacity of 832.2 kWdc to contribute to Tarrytowns’ sustainability and renewable energy efforts.
  • Adding curriculum enhancement programs to support STEM learning for students.

The project aligns with the Energy Performance Contracting (EPC) model set forth under NYS Energy Law Article 9, which will ensure a budget-neutral solution through guaranteed savings and performance while furthering opportunities to engage with the community.

“The District is very excited about the project. We are committed to enhancing the quality of the learning spaces for our students and staff. In addition, we are committed to making decisions that ensure a sustainable and efficient future for our school committee,” said Ray Sanchez, Superintendent of the Public Schools of Tarrytowns.
