InductEV Forms 3 Partnerships to Deploy In-Ground Wireless EV Charging Technology for Commercial Transportation Sector
InductEV has formed three strategic partnerships within the EV charging space to accelerate the adoption of its wireless charging technology and AI-managed charging solution for the commercial transportation sector.
InductEV’s wireless charging pads are installed in the ground, allowing the technology to operate in all weather conditions – including ice, snow, mud, and even flooding – with no loss of efficiency.
The charging pads can connect to the local power grid or renewable energy sources and offer more than 450 kW of charging power for high-utilization electric vehicle fleets. An on-vehicle receiver receives the electricity from the in-ground charger through magnetic induction and transfers it to the battery for charging.
InductEV will combine these wireless charging pads with its AI-managed wireless charging solution, which shifts EV charging to daytime use of renewables to reduce the need for large EV batteries, lower vehicle costs, and extend battery life by up to 8 times that of comparable batteries.
“Commercial fleets are the biggest contributor to GHG emissions worldwide in transportation,” said Barry Libert, Chairman and CEO of InductEV. “We are therefore pleased to announce today three new strategic partners, all of which possess the technological know-how and services to help implement our vision for wireless EV charging in the commercial and industrial transport sectors.”
InductEV’s three new partners include Miller EV Solutions, Roush, and WB Engineers+Consultants.
Miller EV Solutions will provide electrical infrastructure, prefabrication, installation, commissioning, and maintenance services for the in-ground charging systems and increase the quality and speed of the electric service to ensure up to 99.9% uptime.
Roush will provide supplemental integration engineering design and post-deployment servicing of vehicle assemblies to ensure continued operation and power delivery.
WB Engineers+Consultants will provide electrical infrastructure engineering and design services with specialized teams focused on vehicle charging, infrastructure design, and civil engineering. It will be a key part of InductEV’s turnkey solution to onboard new customers and offer a one-stop shop experience.
To date, InductEV has delivered more than 1.5 GWh of energy to customers in the US and EU through its wireless charging network – the equivalent of preventing 650 metric tons of CO2 emissions.
