Miller Electric Company and CBRE, a commercial real estate services company, began construction on their new Electric Vehicle Innovation Design Center (EVIDC) in Jacksonville, Florida. The center, supported by WB Engineering+Consultants, Schneider Electric, and Graybar, hopes to help alleviate many of the challenges that clients and stakeholders face when selecting EV and microgrid solutions.
The center will house a variety of EV solutions and sustainable technologies from multiple manufacturers and providers, including inductive charging, solar canopies, battery storage, and microgrids. This will provide clients and industry professionals the opportunity to test and experience these technologies first-hand before they make a final purchasing decision. In addition, the center will also function as a training site for technicians to receive education and training on the latest technologies and software.
Miller Electric and CBRE hope the center will assist the public in the deployment and maintenance of sustainable technologies, driving innovation, growth, and sustainability within the industry.
