Singapore-based TotalEnergies ENEOS, a developer of onsite B2B solar distributed generation across Asia, has installed a 2.2 MWp solar rooftop project for PT. Perusahaan Industri Ceres (Ceres), an Indonesian producer of chocolate confectionery products.

The solar photovoltaic (PV) system is composed of more than 3,700 modules and generates approximately 3,250 MWh of renewable electricity annually.

The system will power approximately 9 percent of Ceres' manufacturing facility with renewable energy in Bandung, Indonesia. It will also help reduce the company's overall carbon footprint by approximately 2,600 tons of CO2 emissions, equivalent to removing nearly 560 cars off the road or planting over 39,000 trees.

"The project marks an advancement in Indonesia's target of reaching net zero emissions by 2060 or sooner," said Nancy Florencia, President Director of PT. Perusahaan Industri Ceres, in a statement. "We are excited to take this significant step towards a more sustainable future.”
